It took a while to get up the nerve to start quilting the Welcome Quilt. Even though I was doing something simple with the walking foot, I knew I could still goof it up.
Before I even got started I had a success is this new-to-me fusible batting. I saw it on The Midnight Quilt Show and it makes a huge difference in dealing with puckers on the back. It sticks it all down good and tight. Much better than spray adhesive.
I practiced on these little quilt sandwiches before starting in on the real thing.
Even so, I couldn't sew a straight line with the walking foot to save my life. It was nice having the extra space to maneuver on the Juki but as far as the product goes-it's me, not the machine that is having the issues.
